The Robert Hugh Cole papers consist largely of personal and professional correspondence files with information on his fellowships, lectures and conferences, and Cole’s work at WHOI on underwater explosions.

The James Stacy Coles’ papers include material related to Coles’ research with the Underwater Explosives Research Laboratory (UERL), his role as a member on the WHOI Trustee Committee for Educational Policy and as president of WHOI’s Associate Program, and his involvement with various committees of the WHOI Board of Trustees, among other subjects.
